〜だけ
2 Senses1 / 2
Formation
N5LimitationNeutral
Meaning
Expresses a limitation or exclusion, indicating that there is nothing else besides what is mentioned.
Note
A very common particle for limitation. Unlike '〜しか', which is followed by a negative verb to show focus on what is lacking, '〜だけ' is used with affirmative verbs. '〜のみ' is a more formal or written equivalent.
