Used to indicate that something is not limited to a specific scope but includes other things as well.
Note
A very common and versatile expression used in both spoken and written Japanese. For more formal contexts, patterns like '〜ばかりでなく' or '〜のみならず' (stiff/literary) are often preferred. The variant '〜だけじゃなく' is more colloquial.
