〜甲斐
Formation
Meaning
Indicates that the effort put into an action was worth it (resulting in a good outcome) or was not worth it (resulting in a disappointing outcome). It expresses the value or effectiveness of an action.
Note
Indicates the result or effectiveness of an action. It is often used in the form '〜たかいがある' (it was worth doing) to show a positive outcome. While '〜かいがあって' is standard, the particle 'が' is often omitted in casual speech. For the negative, the form '〜かいもなく' is much more frequently encountered than '〜かいがなく'.
