〜っけ
Formation
Meaning
Used to confirm something that was forgotten or uncertain. It has a slightly conversational tone and can be used as a self-question or to ask someone else.
Note
A sentence-ending particle used to double-check information that you once knew but have momentarily forgotten, or to confirm something you're uncertain about. It's often used in casual conversation. When asking others, it can sound slightly softer than a direct question. Common patterns include '〜たっけ', '〜だっけ', or '〜だったっけ'. It can also be used in more formal speech as '〜でしたっけ' or '〜ましたっけ'.
