Meaning
Indicates that a state or condition remains unchanged. Used to describe doing something while maintaining a previous state.
Note
Describes a situation where a certain state or result of an action is left as it is without change. It often implies that something which should normally be changed or finished is left in that state (e.g., leaving the window open). It connects to the ta-form (past) for completed actions or the nai-form for negative states. With nouns, it requires 'no'.

窓を開けたまま寝てしまった。
I fell asleep with the window open.
鍵をかけないまま出かけてしまった。
I went out without locking the door.
熱いまま食べてください。
Please eat it while it's still hot.
冷たいままの方が美味しいです。
