Indicates that something is easy to imagine or surmise based on the current situation.
Note
A literary and formal expression. Almost exclusively used with specific verbs like 想像 (imagine), 察する (surmise), or 推測 (conjecture).
Examples
彼がどれほど苦労したかは、察するにかたくない。
It is not hard to surmise how much he struggled.
当時の人々の生活がどれほど厳しかったかは、想像するにかたくない。
It is not hard to imagine how harsh the lives of people back then were.
彼女がその知らせを聞いてどれほど喜んだかは、推測するにかたくない。
