Meaning

Nominalizes a verb, adjective, or entire clause, turning it into a noun phrase. Similar to 'the act/fact of ~ing' in English.

Note

A very common nominalizer that follows non-past or past forms of verbs and adjectives. It's used in various patterns like 'no ga suki' (like doing) or 'no wo shitte iru' (know that...).
