Meaning

While you're at it / taking the opportunity. Used when you do something else while you're in the middle of a certain action.

Note

Used to describe an unplanned secondary action taken while performing a primary action. Often translated as 'since' or 'while you're at it'.

Examples

散歩するついでに、手紙を出してきた。

I sent a letter while I was out for a walk.

コンビニに行くついでに、ゴミを捨ててきて。

Please throw away the trash while you're going to the convenience store.
