In grammar, a sentence that expresses affirmation (states that something is the case), the opposite of a negative sentence (e.g. “He will come.”).
「私は学生です。」は肯定文で、否定文は「私は学生ではありません。」だ。
'I am a student.' is an affirmative sentence; the negative is 'I am not a student.'
英語の疑問文は語順が変わるが、肯定文では主語+動詞の語順になる。
In English, question sentences change word order, but affirmative sentences use subject + verb order.
練習問題で肯定文を否定文に書き換えてください。
Please rewrite the affirmative sentences in the practice exercises as negative sentences.
